He proved them wrong by making Robert Modavi Winery one of the world?s leading innovators of fine wine. Robert Mondavi brought many of the world?s best winemaking practices to California and cofounded The American Institute of Wine & Food with Chef Julia Child. The innovation continues with Winemaker Genevieve Janssens who was named 2010 Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast!

June is Robert Mondavi Heritage month, so Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach, and Executive Chef, James Barrett, have created a 5 course culinary celebration featureing 6 of Robert Mondavi's delicious wines including a 1995 Reserve Cabernet! Taste the inspiration and passion that makes Robert Mondavi Winery one of the world?s best wineries.

First Course:

Robert Mondavi Winery Fume Blanc

Savory ginger, cardamom zabaglione partnered with a seared day boat scallop topped with caviar

Second Course:

Robert Mondavi Winery Chardonnay

Fresh beet salad complimented with local goat cheese and petite greens

Third Course:

Robert Mondavi Winery Pinot Noir

Pan seared duck breast, grilled peach and fennel ragout, preserved berry glace and chicken fried torchon of foie gras

Fourth Course:

Robert Mondavi Winery Cabernet Sauvignon & Robert Mondavi Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 1995 Reserve

Slow cooked roseda farm beef shortrib, silky potato puree, orange nutmeg granola,and caramelized onion cinnamon sauce

Dessert:

Robert Mondavi Winery Moscato d?Oro

Cantaloupe broth paired with thai basil ice cream.
