The Lanark-based company's Dark Chocolate Gingers are now the biggest seller in a range of 31 gourmet and specialist biscuits produced by the family-run business.
Sales director Ewan Anderson said: ?The Dark Chocolate Ginger is our best-selling biscuit and is always hugely popular but we?ve been pleasantly surprised by its growth this year.
?A combination of new packaging and increased listings throughout the UK have undoubtedly helped fuel its success and it has more than justified our investment in the factory.?
Border Biscuits, an independently-owned, family-run business based in Lanark and was founded in 1984.
The company employs 150 people and last year reported turnover of ?9.3 million.
In 2010 the company invested ?2 million in a new production line.
Border Biscuits was named ?Scottish Supplier of the Year? by Asda in April, seeing off competition from 93 other Scottish suppliers.
Border Biscuits won two awards at the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards last Thursday (24th May). They won both Profiting Through Skills Development and the prestigious Business of the Year. The full list of winners is available here.
